It's so easy to take your eyes off of God, what with worry and stress and the daily stuff that is our lives. But God knows what He is doing and where He is going.
I am one who is scared of heights. Your story made me think of being on one of those suspension bridges in the mountains of TN. Everyone kept saying, "Just don't look down." I just had to keep looking straight ahead! If I look down, I panic and freeze in fear, ultimately getting nowhere! Thanks for your analogy and beautiful insight! Good food and drink!Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08450560279375906764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4829774855833701073.post-12787365617777087102008-09-16T19:24:00.000-07:002008-09-16T19:24:00.000-07:00Lia,I would LOVE to...what days are good for you, ...Lia,
I would LOVE to...what days are good for you, seriously...Alihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16342736704426792374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4829774855833701073.post-69600895987020044122008-09-16T11:18:00.000-07:002008-09-16T11:18:00.000-07:00How about following someone down I-20 to my house ...How about following someone down I-20 to my house here in Florence, SC?!! For real, I loved your post and will chew on it for a while. We are too close not to visit each other sometime in the next year. Thanks for sharing through this blog. Yesterday I said, "Mike, I really would like to have a designated time to write, am I going to have to leave the house?" He goes, "No, you can write at home." I just looked at him and smiled...you should have seen me trying to get this cup of cold water to ya...

I'm so thankful that it is a source of encouragement to everyone who reads it. I would have driven you there...I lived there, I lived through your agony and fear at one time. I'm an "old salt" (or at least I WAS; time changes everything) in that city.

Next - the 99. Call me stupid...I didn't get it at first. I've heard the song "I leave 99, leave them all behind, just to find you". But I didn't get it, couldn't associate it. And then *BAM*, the shepard and the sheep...he brought his 99 home safely then left to find his lost sheep. Had you not said that God would come find you (leaving 99), I'd STILL be stupid to that song and that phrase. Now I know...and I'll ALWAYS know!

Last - following God...it's SO great...it's the best feeling...as long as you're willing to let him lead and you're not trying to be the leader!

We've had a "journey of discernment" these last 8 weeks at church and part of it has been learning to follow what we KNOW to be God and not what we THINK to be God.

Thanks for this tall cup of cold water...I was really thirsty, and this was truly satisfying!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11956372504248127591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4829774855833701073.post-55572902895663107722008-09-15T07:02:00.000-07:002008-09-15T07:02:00.000-07:00Great Post.
